Interview
My initial communications started with being recruited by my supervisor, who contacted someone at my school concerning the opening. I had to send my resume, transcripts, and letters of recommendation. There was an initial phone screening, followed by a very thorough on site interview, which consisted of meeting with about 8 or 9 people within the department. My advice would be to come prepared to talk not only about what you've accomplished, but also do your homework on the department itself. Make sure you ask everyone questions and show enthusiasm for the work being done there.
