Had an initial interview with the recruiter to talk about my own experience and learn more about the company. When I asked what the budget for the role was, the recruiter became cagey regarding the topic about it and never responded to it. The lack of salary transparency is a bit of a red flag. They declined to move forward with my application two days later.
