I really enjoyed my initial interview process with this employer. I completed 4 interviews and I was very impressed with how approachable and professional everyone was. I was then advised that I had reached the last stage of the interview process and it would include a conversation with a senior executive and a presentation to senior leadership. The appointments were scheduled and I was given the assignment for my presentation. I had begun working on the presentation and cleared my work schedule to accommodate the times they requested. A number of days later, I was contacted by a member of Talent Acquisition and advised that there was another candidate ahead of me that had delivered his presentation earlier in the week and they extended that candidate an offer without even allowing me to complete the stages of the interview that they had already scheduled. I was amazed at how unprofessional this was. They scheduled the time with me, I had cleared my schedule to accommodate it and I had already invested time in developing the presentation. While the initial parts of the interview process were positive, this made me realize that I would not have been a good fit at an organization that operates this way.
