Initial call was with the HR Business Partner, then had three more rounds of video interviews with team members. All four calls were awesome, and I felt like I really clicked with the team members.
After the fourth interview with the SVP of Customer Success, which I felt went extremely well, I received a vague and one sentence email a few days later from the HR Business Partner saying they weren't moving forward with me. Not moving forward is not the issue for me, it was the amount of time I invested and really felt like I was a great fit for the role, all to get a one sentence email with no explanation. Last year, I went through the interview process with a Big 4, made the final round and did not receive the offer but the partner was nice enough to call me to explain...I also recently went through a final round with a tech startup and I received a lengthy email explaining that they are basically holding off on the role for now, etc. It doesn't take a lot of effort to let a candidate who has met half the team already know why they aren't moving forward with them, but it goes a long way in their overall thought of the company and future referrals considering I have a large network in healthcare and am actively talking with folks about companies we have interviewed or worked with.
