Cipher was quick to respond to my application. Within about 1-2 weeks I got a call to start the interview process. Within the next 1-2 weeks I had been invited to participate in four different interviews.
All of the interviews seemed to go really well. It was stressful and took a lot of my personal time, but since I was sure I'd get the job based on my experience, I was okay with it.
About a week after the final interview, I got an email that they were working on a decision and should be in touch by end of week. By middle of the next week, I got the good ol' canned response that they'd gone with another candidate.
I don't blame companies for wanting to do extra interviews, especially in the new WFH world, but all of my friends in human resources said, "If you're getting a forth interview with an executive, that is probably just a formality and you'll get an offer." Pretty disappointing to just get a canned response instead, especially after such a stressful process.
