I applied through other source. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Cisco in Aug 2009
Interview
I was interviewed twice by HR and a few other times by several team leaders, directors, and BU manager. Each interview lasted 45-120 minutes. Some interviews were on the same day and some on different times. I had interviews on the phone and face to face.
Most interviewers asked questions which were relevant to the job. Two just seem to ask what they were expected to ask and were not very effective, or the topics were not related to the job.
Overall it was a productive process and not absurd as some interviews can be.
Phone interview from HR manager- very quick, less than a half hour. Really more of a chat than an interview. Not structured. Asked about relocation and salary requirements, less about credentials.
Took a while from they expressing interest in my resume to actually getting an interview. And if it wasn't for a follow up from an employee, the interview may have never happened. But what was even worse, is to date, weeks later, not scheduling me for the next round or letting me go. Just disappeared.
I didn't really think the person interviewing me was very experienced but I felt I had a very strong interview.
