It was a technical interview with a focus on past experience and the value addition that an intern can bring. The technical interview was to be followed by further rounds.

I had a 30 minute phone screening. The woman I spoke to was very kind, and mostly asked me questions about my resume. She then told me that they didn't have any open positions at that time (I guess the online system hadn't been updated to reflect the positions they had filled), but she would keep me updated if anything opened up that I seemed like a good fit for.
