I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Citi (Hong Kong) in Oct 2010
Interview
In late September, I got notified of the first round phone interviews with Citi Hong Kong. Had nice conversations with an asso and an analyst from Hong Kong as well as an analyst from Singapore. The phone interviews was heavily focused on technical questions: personal view of Chines Real Estate market, basic knowledge of Finance and some case questions. The final round was held in NYC, one with a VP from HK and the other with a Director from Singapore. Mostly behavioral questions.

Question 1
What can you tell me about the current Chinese Real Estate market?
Very disorganized. There were 3 rounds of interviews (Recruiter said there would only be 2). Typical phone interview and team panel interview on Zoom. They accidentally rejected me so recruiter called week later to apologize for error and asked to move forward to final zoom interview. Senior leader didn't show up to final interview and so had to reschedule for next week. Got rejected again with no additional clarifying feedback. At least the recruiter got back to me and didn't ghost me.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Citi (London, England) in Apr 2025
Interview
Four interviews over two days with regional managers (London (EMEA), Florida (South America), Hong Kong (APAC), New York (North America)). Questions were predominantly competency based, as to be expected - A walkthrough of CV and background + questions about financial analysis work experience. Interviewers were very amicable. Took months to hear back from HR with a rejection note saying the role was no longer available...
