I applied online. I interviewed at Citi (New York, NY)
Interview
I recently interviewed for the NY Investment Research team. The interviews were structured like speed dating-- five interviewers went around the room to interview each candidate for a half hour. Everyone generally asked the basic "Tell me about yourself" or "walk me through your resume" questions. Then, we were asked to pitch a stock, Because of this, the interviews are not necessarily hard-- they are simply what you make of it. If you mention any experience in technical analysis or the company's strong cash position, be prepared to get a lot of follow-up questions. The majority of interviewers were senior members, so they obviously know their stuff! SO- just make sure that you are passionate about whichever part of the business you are applying to, because they can teach you/correct you on all of the technicals, but they can't really teach you passion and interest.
Structured. It consist of 3 rounds in total. HR will host the interview. First round of Case Study, then Technical with the team leads of the team. After that, will be Q&A session. Lastly with the head of the department.
I had a behavioral with a current analyst, then a Superday with 3 members of the division. During the Superday, I was also assigned a case study to be conducted and presented live to the Superday interviewers.
Interview with HR and a current analyst (behavioral + CV). Another round where there was 2 interviews from people from the department and then a prresentation based on a document they present
