I had applied for the IP Analyst position via Indeed and received a call from the recruiter shortly afterward. The initial call was very brief—she only mentioned that I would receive details about a walk-in interview by the end of the week but did not explain the interview structure or what to expect.
After following up with her, I received an email that vaguely stated I should brush up on intellectual property terms and mentioned there would be an assessment, but it lacked details on the format or content of the test.
On the day of the interview, there were about 10 candidates in my batch and more in subsequent groups. None of us were given clear instructions about the assessment process. The test included grammar, numerical ability, and a few other sections. Following the test, a senior HR member conducted a one-on-one interview. Unfortunately, it felt like he had already made up his mind to reject my profile due to my customer support background. He didn’t ask for my introduction or any job-relevant questions, which made the experience feel unfair and biased.
The office location is also quite far, and in hindsight, the time and travel expenses didn’t feel worth it—especially given the lack of transparency and the overall experience. I would recommend the company improve communication regarding the interview process and ensure candidates are evaluated fairly based on potential and not just background.
