Interview
For Clarks franchise in Truro. Pretty simple, dropped a CV and got invited to an interview. Hiring manager Jaymi made me feel quite relaxed, broke the ice etc then we just went through my CV and discussed typical retail skills / experience. All very straightforward.
Main thing I guess they were looking for was 'are you a decent person who is capable of learning on the job'.
It was a group interview. There were about 10 of us. They asked us to act out certain scenarios. For example, if a customer had asked for advice about one thing and then suddenly switched to something else.
Relaxed and basic questions about how you will sell and your skills. Friendly interviewer and also shown around the shop. Informed about holiday processes and staff already there and expectations.
Was very laid back process and had to describe how you would sell a shoe. Asked about previous customer service experience. Was overall very calm and pleasant interview with no hard questions.
