Interview
I handed in my CV to the store and about a week later I got called in for a group interview where we introduced ourselves, mentioned one thing we love and one thing we hate. We then had to find a product and sell it to the interviewer. I picked up a handbag and described the good points. She said out of everyone she would most likely buy mine :) she did point out that no one mentioned the price. I was going to but the price wasn't on there. A few days later I got called in for a trial which lasted an hour on a Saturday and someone showed me around and I just had to serve customers. Be friendly to all the colleagues because they will get asked on how you were. The next day they phoned and told me I had the job. It was a Christmas temp job but if you want to make it permanent, be friendly, be helpful, try not to call in sick and take too many days off. If they ask you to cover a shift, try and do it.
A group interview. A good level of contact beforehand and after, you had to choose a shoe to pitch and pitch it in front of the group. You also had to talk a bit about yourself.
Easy, short, relevant questions - interviewers were all friendly and genuinely wanted to help you answer questions to the best of your ability. Felt very at ease and relaxed at all times throughout.
Choose a shoe and then create a pitch to sell us this shoe. Explain why someone should buy the shoe that you have decided to choose and try to sell us.
