I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Clarks (Croydon, England) in Feb 2014
Interview
I handed a CV in personally, then got a phone call to say I had an interview and was asked when I would like to book it for. The interview itself took place in the staff room. It involved a group of us being told about about the history of Clarks and how the company works, then a presentation where we had to sell a pair of shoes or a bag individually.
We were told what to wear on duty and had discounts explained to us.
All of the interviewees were then given an application form to fill out in the interview and a higher-up walked around the room and answered any questions related to the application form.
easy and they were approachable and friendly. It was a group one so it was with other people we were asked to pick a shoe and sell it to eachother and the audience.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Clarks (London, England) in Nov 2025
Interview
Consisted of two tasks. First task was pairing up with the person next to you and finding out facts about them, which we then presented to everyone else, including the interviewers. They wrote down names, etc. from this task. Second task was selling either a shoe or shoe product (you picked from what was available) to the interviewer, like a roleplay.
They will look at your CV and application and then decide to call you for an interview, which was in person for me. The interview was 30 minutes and was very relaxed.
