I reached out to the recruiter who was very happy and willing to chat with me more about the position. Our conversation went great and she offered to put me in touch with the hiring manager to have a further conversation about what they were looking for in the role. She set me up with a recruiting coordinator to set up a time for the call. The coordinator was responsive at first, but then took a long time in getting back to me in getting a call scheduled. Just over a week later, she reached out to me and let me know that they had decided to move forward with an offer to another candidate and they would reach out to me if it didn't work out. A few weeks later, it is still posted. I had a great first impression and truly did not mind if they found a great candidate to fill it. I just hope that I or other candidates weren't given the run around if not.
