I was contacted by a recruiter to consider a job at Clearwater Analytics. Since it was a small company I didn't hear about them before or see their job advertisements. After talking the lady on the phone and looking their website I was interested and started the interview process.
First, they send me a logic/math test using Google docs. It took me about 40 minutes to complete them. Some of the questions were tricky.
Then, a phone/web interview was scheduled. I talked with a developer on the phone and solved the programming questions by typing Java code on the internet. Interviewer also can see and type the code. I think I did well on 2 coding questions, I got some help when I am stuck with something. The person on the phone told me they would arrange another phone interview with me, I said okay.
On the second phone interview this time the interviewer presented some portion of the code on the web browser and asked me to complete the program to do something. I think understanding somebody else's code help here. The first question was easy, but I struggled on the second question a little bit. The interviewer was nice and helped me to finish the problem.
Finally I was invited to the interview in Boise, ID. I stayed in a nice hotel in downtown and had a good sleep. In the morning interviews started at 9 am and went up to 2 pm. I talked 2 people at a time in 5 or 6 different sessions. Each group tried to have different focus, such as coding, testing, design, presentation, etc.I think I answered correctly on all coding questions. Since English was my second language I had some difficulty on behavioral questions but they were very understanding.
At the end of the interview the manager told me they would give a decision after everyone gave their feedback about me.
