I applied in-person. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Clinique (Tucson, AZ) in Aug 2011
Interview
Completed an online application at Dillard's. Interviewed in person with the current Counter Manager, then the Dillard's store manager. Loved them both and really got excited about the chance to work there.
Was scheduled for the Clinique phone interview the next week and took it. Was nervous so I did some online searching for the phone questions. Found out that it's mainly personality so I calmed down a bit and just answered the questions honestly.
Was offered the position within a week and accepted. The current counter manager was super helpful in sharing everything she knew so I could do well immediately. She's a true inspiration. ;o)
Started Clinique training two weeks later and love it!
Initial interview, followed by face to face interview, followed by on counter demo, followed by store approval/interview. This was 10 years ago so I imagine it’s more virtual now with video calls.
