I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Clipboard (Seattle, WA) in Jan 2023
Interview
Five long steps. An easy but very lengthy coding challenge via Coderbyte, two technical interviews (coding and system design, probably more complex than they should have been, especially system design - also, they must be in Javascript, which is awful), interview with the Head of Engineering (Which I did not do, but don't see why I couldn't meet the manager of the team I was supposed to join) and interview with Head of Product (n/a)
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Common coding challenges and system design interview questions, but the requirements they asked for were much more complex than any other companies I've interviewed with (locally and outside the US). I don't think they reflect what I was supposed to do daily. Also, the online assessment was pretty straightforward but time-consuming, which is not an excellent indicative of their planning.

Interview
1. Got the coding assignment, completed it, passed that round
2. Passed the second round as well
3. They gave a technical design document (TDD) to prepare on a topic
4. Submitted a 10-12 page design doc spending 2 full days perfecting it which they said they liked and scheduled my interview, but cancelled at the last step on the day of the interview
The recruiter ghosted me.
Spent so much time doing the coding assignment + the design doc (TDD) just to get ghosted even after them saying they liked it

Question 1
Real world coding assignment based on the problems they face at Clipboard

Interview
*BEWARE*
1. As many people said, even if you answer correctly it will be rejected. They're either not hiring or there's something else going on.
2. The test setup isn't correct for the given scripts so this repo clearly isn't even being maintained. The design is fairly poor as well.
3. There's an unknown package installed. I worked in a sandbox and deleted it as soon as I was done

Question 1
given an api, seeded data with employees, workplaces, and shifts, implement 2 scripts to grab top 3 (requirements showed top = max shift count)

Interview
Initial chat.
A take home project.
Two interviews over the course of the take home. In each one we discussed the work I had done offline then worked through an issue together. At the end of the first I was sent the updated requirements for the take home to complete before the second interview.
Final behavioural interview
