      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Clipboard (Chicago, IL) in Mar 2023

      Interview

A recruiter reached out and asked me to apply. They require you to complete a case exercise and there's a lot to read about the company. The case exercise was originally a group project because it's so time consuming for one person to complete but they do give you 2-3 days to get it done. I want to be clear- I NEVER elect to proceed when the interview assignments take more than a few minutes. I'd rather politely decline and move on to the other interviews I have to prep for. However, after reading about the culture at the company and listening to an interview with Bo- one of the cofounders, I decided to give it a shot because I was convinced this is a company I wanted to see succeed and I wanted to have a part in that. It took me hours and I didn't feel like I got a fraction of that time and energy back in the response I received. Regardless, I'd do it all again in a heartbeat. This company is special. I can tell it's run by great people and they are protective of what they're building. I love that for them. So, if you're like me and assessments are normally a hard pass for you, think twice about this one. I'm certain it'll be worth it if you get hired.

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Clipboard (New York, NY) in Jun 2023

      Interview

You first had to do a long case study that took a few hours. This was before talking to anyone. I then met with someone on the team for 30 minutes followed by two 45 minute calls with the hiring manager. Everything was recorded and they asked me a ton of questions about my current company's strategy. I was moved to a final round with their President. Right before, he cancelled our call because he was sick. I then did not get the job even though they never rescheduled.
