I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Clipboard in Mar 2023
Interview
The company should give additional feedback upon request to candidates that have put in significant time and effort to complete the written exercises. To ask a candidate to write a 2-3 page document followed by a 4-6 page document, and then not give any feedback or context around why the candidate was rejected, is simply unfair and unprofessional. Clipboard rejected me without any feedback on the longer of these two exercises, and my emails to two people asking for feedback went unanswered. I have no issue with the exercises themselves. I actually wish more companies followed a similar process as Clipboard by incorporating exercises that closely mimic work that the candidate would actually do on the job. This gives me confidence that the company is hiring qualified candidates. And ultimately, interview exercises are optional insofar as no candidate is forced to participate in the interview process for any given company. So to clarify, I do not have an issue with Clipboard using these exercises in their interview process. With that said, Clipboard's exercises take more time to complete, by FAR, than any other company's. In return, candidates would like to know that their submissions are evaluated in a serious and fair way. Candidates also expect some explanation when they are rejected after submitting one of these exercises. @Clipboard - pay attention to these reviews and really consider whether your recruiting process is cultivating the kind of reputation that you want.

Round 1: Price optimization problem based on Lyft Round 2: Decrease the rate at which shifts go unfilled on the Clipboard platform (this is about their actual product)
I spent several days doing the take home case study. I was rejected with no feedback with a general email response. It was a waste of my time & honestly wish I hadn't taken the bait.

As the pricing PM for Lyft's ride-scheduling launch in Toledo, how would you determine the optimal driver payout (by adjusting Lyft's take, without raising the $25 rider price) to maximize net revenue over the next 12 months given the provided CAC, churn, ride volume, match-rate, and pricing experiment data?

Very frustrating overall. Did not feel respected as a candidate. Did not receive feedback on the case. Extremely unimpressed with the process.

Several different case studies and behavioral rounds felt like they were farming ideas rather than actually interviewing someone to join the team. The questions weren't difficult, and the case studies weren't challenging. The interviewer definitely didn't read the case study because the feedback I received was generic and also addressed directly in my answers in the case study. Like others have already stated, negative interview process. Plus as soon as I was rejected, I got an interview request from someone else on the team for the same role!
