Clipboard Health reached out to me. Like the other reviews for PM, I was skeptical of the process due to the other negative reviews, so I had low expectations going into the process. They use the assessment to weed out candidates that don’t align with their PM thought process instead of finding ones that can be a value add to their team. This is also one of multiple case studies/rounds in their interview process. They’re not looking for people who are data-driven. I used plenty of data-driven processes and decision-making (it's my background too), and my assumptions/estimates were derived from public data sources. I also asked multiple PM friends, from Senior to VP-level (5-10+ YOE), to critique and rip apart my write-up, which I edited and improved, before submitting. Some of my takeaways for others who are thinking about interviewing 1. Have low expectations going into the process. Don’t expect to move forward or get any feedback. 2. The only way it makes sense to do the take-home is for the practice, your portfolio, or if you have extra time to do it for fun. That is what I did here. 3. If you’re data-driven, care about feedback, care about moving forward, or want to talk to a Clipboard employee during this process, it’s best to pass.
