I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Clipboard in Jun 2023
Interview
I applied, a few days later received a take home assessment that everyone else mentions. Case was not super difficult but took up a lot of time. A few days later I get an email saying my case was "in the top 5% of cases" and I was selected to move on to interview with someone on the team. Interview was ok. It was sort of funny because they just asked rapid fire questions about the case, which I answered well, but it felt like they were more interested in tripping me up/making some sort of point as opposed to wanting to hear my genuine answers. A lot of the questions were just weird and not insightful at all. Not difficult just super odd questions about the case. It honestly felt like they had no idea what they wanted to learn from me about the way I did the case. The weirdest part was that I asked the person interviewing me what types of projects they are currently working on (which I expected to be something interesting within strategy & ops) but they responded back with something about the majority of their time spent on coordinating food trucks around healthcare sites.....??? Honestly it felt like a joke so if you don't get moved on to this round you are honestly dodging a bullet. Based on the other comments about interviews I feel like they are just interviewing people to give themselves something to do since it doesn't seem that they are really running any strategy & ops other than maybe some food truck work haha.

Interview
If your resume makes it through, you are sent a case study and given 5 business days to complete. Then you do a case study interview with in-depth questions about hypothetical scenarios to assess your critical thinking. After that, you have 3 more interviews with other department heads.
Case Study 1 with unlimited time > Case Study interview with member of Clipboard team > Case Study 2 + Interview > Interview with one of co-CEOs. Interview resources are available on their internal blog

Question 1
How much more or less do you pay drivers per trip given driver rides/month and salary and riders CAC and request rate? Your goal is to maximize net revenue for the next 12 months on this route.
The interview process began with an initial assessment, which had no time limit. I wrote about 2 pages. After submitting the assessment, I moved on to the next stage: a live interview focused on discussing my approach to the assessment. During this conversation, I walked through my solution, explained my reasoning, and answered follow-up questions related to testing and validating the approach.
