I was approached by a recruiter on LinkdIn. I had a call with him, was able to discuss the job and the company but everything was really blurry and unclear.
I then had 2 calls with the management of the new team they want to create in France. I was able to have insightful information and I started to be motivated to join them. Except for the salary, it was unclear, I always had to ask to someone else.
I was then given a case study. It was interesting to work on this and to give my insights. I got feedbacks, I worked again on the presentation, everything was going well.
Then, the case study changed. They wanted to add a question - ok then. The question was unclear and they asked me to work again on it when finally I had the correct information. Ok no problem. The recruiter was super friendly with me - a little too much (calling me "mate" for example).
And, as soon as I handed out my final research, with leads, insights, personal data and sales data I had from the inside of some restaurants - poof, they vanished.
No answer to my emails, messages. They took my research and disappeared.
I called my contacts within the leads I sent them, to explain and be sure they will NOT work with them.
Be careful.
