For the final interview, I was asked to do a exercise researching restaurants that would be a good fit for Cloud and explaining why I chose them. It asks you to go into the criteria you used to pick those restaurants and why. You’re asked to write an email to the owner of a restaurant you would target and make a 2 minute video pitch to the owner. The final round consisted of 4 interviews 45 minutes each, 3-4 hours total. The first interviewer was not only late, but extremely rude. He was dismissive and confrontational, didn’t make any effort to make me feel like this was a fun or welcome place to work. It was a Zoom interview, but it was clear he was hardly paying attention and distracted the whole time. Very unprofessional. I mentioned I didn’t connect with him to my last interviewer (who was very friendly) when she asked how my interviews had been going, and she herself made it clear she didn’t have positive feelings for him herself. With the final interviewer, I had to do a call exercise where I would call into random companies asking them to do a quick survey about their thoughts on cold calling in exchange for a $10 amazon gift card. They will observe you for 20-30 minutes while you make these calls as a way to see how comfortable you are on the phone. Pretty silly.
