I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at CloudKitchens in Jun 2020
Interview
For the final interview, I was asked to do a exercise researching restaurants that would be a good fit for Cloud and explaining why I chose them. It asks you to go into the criteria you used to pick those restaurants and why. You’re asked to write an email to the owner of a restaurant you would target and make a 2 minute video pitch to the owner.
The final round consisted of 4 interviews 45 minutes each, 3-4 hours total. The first interviewer was not only late, but extremely rude. He was dismissive and confrontational, didn’t make any effort to make me feel like this was a fun or welcome place to work. It was a Zoom interview, but it was clear he was hardly paying attention and distracted the whole time. Very unprofessional. I mentioned I didn’t connect with him to my last interviewer (who was very friendly) when she asked how my interviews had been going, and she herself made it clear she didn’t have positive feelings for him herself.
With the final interviewer, I had to do a call exercise where I would call into random companies asking them to do a quick survey about their thoughts on cold calling in exchange for a $10 amazon gift card. They will observe you for 20-30 minutes while you make these calls as a way to see how comfortable you are on the phone. Pretty silly.

Question 1
Lots of situational questions. What would you do if you couldn’t get a hold of owner, to get past gatekeeper, etc.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at CloudKitchens (Columbus, OH) in Mar 2025
Interview
There are 3-5 rounds during the interview process. The final round being a panel interview with the Hiring Manager, Regional Sales Manager and the Channel Sales Manager. In one of these interviews you will role play with one of these persons and pitch them a product/or, in my case a candidate (my previous role was in Finance Recruiting), from your previous experience and be able to answer rebuttals or product knowledge questions while also discovering what the needs of the prospect are.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at CloudKitchens (Los Angeles, CA) in Sep 2024
Interview
It was a phone screen with the recruiter, video chat with the manager and a mock presentation in-person. Everyone I interviewed with was incredibly nice and the conversations felt very easy going.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Really generic questions about my background as well as how you go about the sales process from start to finish but really nothing crazy or out of the ordinary for a sales position.
