I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Cloudflare
Interview
This is my most inexplicable interview. A recruiter reached out to me weeks ago. I expressed my interests and next... there is no next. No response, no follow up, no anything. A week later I followed up and finally the recruiter replied and asked me for information to setup some phone interviews. I replied with my availabilities and next... there is no next. No response, no schedule, no anything. A week later I tried to follow up again. However, this time no luck. It felt like that the recruiter never existed. One week later I tried my last time, and there was no response as expected.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Cloudflare (Austin, TX) in Aug 2021
Interview
Got an email from a recruiter with a link to schedule a Google meet call. He showed up to the call about 5 minutes late which was annoying. He asked what I knew about Cloudflare, how I got into coding, and then a lot about my current role. He started to get this weird patronizing/condescending attitude after I told him I didn't have a GitHub repo for personal projects. Lots of red flags when I asked him what the daily tasks of someone in this role would be too. Recruiter/HM was rude and that seems to be common. Not a good sign for working at this company.
