I applied through other source. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Cloudflare (London, England) in Nov 2016
Interview
Interview quite long with 2 video-calling, 5 in-person interview of 30 minutes each and then 3 video or phone calling interviews with different persons. You will speak to professionals with various positions who will give you different point of view of the company which is really interesting.
People within Cloudflare are amazing, nice during the interview process, from the HR to the Sales Director and very smart. If you are not able to learn about technology, don't try because you will be asked about how you understand the product.
Cloudflare was expanding the past few months and some people who did the interview was quite new within the company but it was not a problem at all, as I said earlier, they know how to choose their people.
At the end of the process (which was 9 interviews), they move on other candidates and I was quite disappointed because Cloudflare seems a great company for a sales carreer, they are currently expanding and it was a great opportunity. I totally understood their reasons and I frankly recommend Cloudflare; even if they do not choose you, it was a great experience speaking with those very smart people!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How much do you know about the company and its products?
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Cloudflare (London, England) in May 2026
Interview
Smooth interview process the initial recruiter was very helpful in preparing me for each interview but also by giving me the entire outline of what the hiring process looks like and what the team dynamic currently is
This was the worst experience I’ve ever had. The interview process itself was straightforward. The hiring manager conducts the first call before you even speak with a recruiter. From there, you either move on to the four-part interview series or get cut. The process includes a mock role play, a diversity and inclusion interview, a discussion with a systems engineer, and a peer interview with a current account executive.
The mock call requires you to identify a customer’s problem and recommend the appropriate Cloudflare solution. After that, it’s a simple yes or no decision. I received a job offer, resigned from my previous role, and then Cloudflare rescinded the offer without providing any explanation. I’m not even sure if this is legal. In hindsight, I should have seen the red flags, especially after the viral video of an account executive being laid off. This entire experience reinforced how problematic this company truly is.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Cloudflare (Cincinnati, OH) in Mar 2025
Interview
After my first interview, it was explained to me that there would be 7 -8 interviews. One of them being a "discovery role play call" and the recruiter was to explain everything. The recruiter only had time to call me about 30 minutes before my "discovery call" in which I thought it would be interactive with the interviewees. That was not the case, they sat on the virtual call reading their emails while I asked "discovery questions" and then to find out the next day "didn't pass the discovery call" .. well I had decided I didn't want to continue with another 6 interviews after that discouraging, unprofessional "discovery" interview anyways. I found them to be a mess, which is a surprise since they are a growing company.
