Interview
Email exchanges, needed to pass the video interview in English and to know everything about Cloudflare’s offer and products and to search for this information myself. First of all, the interview was finally in French. I did my homework about Cloudflare, but didn’t know everything, the products are quite technical and I needed supplementary explanations. As a result I got “No go” after this interview, because I didn’t had all the knowledge about their product. Honestly, I don’t understand how can we understand everything without working in a company and asking questions. But it’s my opinion.

Question 1
How do you organise during the calls to your clients?
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Cloudflare (London, England) in May 2026
Interview
Smooth interview process the initial recruiter was very helpful in preparing me for each interview but also by giving me the entire outline of what the hiring process looks like and what the team dynamic currently is
This was the worst experience I’ve ever had. The interview process itself was straightforward. The hiring manager conducts the first call before you even speak with a recruiter. From there, you either move on to the four-part interview series or get cut. The process includes a mock role play, a diversity and inclusion interview, a discussion with a systems engineer, and a peer interview with a current account executive.
The mock call requires you to identify a customer’s problem and recommend the appropriate Cloudflare solution. After that, it’s a simple yes or no decision. I received a job offer, resigned from my previous role, and then Cloudflare rescinded the offer without providing any explanation. I’m not even sure if this is legal. In hindsight, I should have seen the red flags, especially after the viral video of an account executive being laid off. This entire experience reinforced how problematic this company truly is.

Interview
After my first interview, it was explained to me that there would be 7 -8 interviews. One of them being a "discovery role play call" and the recruiter was to explain everything. The recruiter only had time to call me about 30 minutes before my "discovery call" in which I thought it would be interactive with the interviewees. That was not the case, they sat on the virtual call reading their emails while I asked "discovery questions" and then to find out the next day "didn't pass the discovery call" .. well I had decided I didn't want to continue with another 6 interviews after that discouraging, unprofessional "discovery" interview anyways. I found them to be a mess, which is a surprise since they are a growing company.
