I am a career changer, have a sales and customer service background but no experience in tech. I did my first interview with a lovely guy who gave me tips for the next rounds, passed the mock call and then was surprised when I heard that I passed the second round which involved 5 interviews of 30min each. It is great to meet different people, also have the interviews focused on different topics, but this is were I believe the recruitment process should end. I went on to the final round which involved two more interviews with managers based in San Francisco that took place in the evening. After all my prep which was based on the recruiters advise, in both interviews I was just asked to ask questions… I don’t have a tech background and I think this is were I failed. After this long process, the recruiter called me to say that I didn't get the job because they thought I might not learn the tech. As other candidates said, the process is very thoughtful but I didn’t find it really effective as some of the technical questions were even repeated several times. Also, 9 interviews is just too much too an entry role… but if you are interested, go for it!
