I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Cloudflare (Lisbon, Lisbon District) in Dec 2021
Interview
Longest and worst interview process in my life. The whole process from the initial call with the hiring manager to the second to the last stage last 4 months in total. To summarize, I had a total of 9 interviews with the team, each for 30-45 minutes; with an additional take home exam which took 3-4 hours to complete. Before scheduling for my last interview with the founder, I informed the recruiter that my company recently had a promotion and salary increase which I kindly ask if there is room for negotiation. The recruiter declined and said that was the best offer they have. I wrote a thank you letter to withdraw my application, but did not even receive a single note (not even a computer generated one) from the hiring manager nor recruiter. I really enjoyed my conversation with the team, but it was very unprofessional that they ghost me after spending more than 10 hours in the whole process. The Company does not seem to respect candidate time and appreciate the effort the candidate put in.
The Company is also inexperienced in recruiting non-local candidate as no information (tax, cost of living etc.) was provided, which the recruiter just asked the candidate to research themselves.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Cloudflare (Sydney) in Nov 2025
Interview
The process was easy enough, initial screening was with the hiring manager who asked straight forward, relevant questions. The second interview is technical. It was a positive experience despite my being unsuccessful.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Cloudflare (New York, NY) in Sep 2024
Interview
Ghosted after calls with the recruiter, hiring manager, and seven other members of an interview panel spread out over several weeks.
Each person was a specialist in their domain. The questions did not mesh well together but I appreciated the points of view from each person I spoke with.
Overall, I give it a negative review as there was no follow up after the time invested both by me and the various employees.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
STAR style questions mixed in with questions related to their business.
Multiple rounds. First round was with the director/hiring manager. Second, I met with the recruiter who wanted to move me forward, but also wanted to prep me for the next 4 interviews. They had me meet with all men, all white. Everyone I met with had been at the company for years and been promoted within. Always great to see. But a little disturbing that their only attributes were how long they’d been with the company. In the end, I didn’t get moved along likely because I couldn’t answer some of the more technical questions/ how their product works. I don’t understand why anyone in a manager role should be prepping for those questions.. it seemed way off base.
