I applied for the Scrum Lead position at Cloudflare through an internal referral. Unfortunately, the initial process was slightly frustrating—I received a link to schedule an interview, but it didn’t work, and I had to proactively reach out multiple times over 4-5 days before finally receiving an updated link. When I did receive the correct information, I was also asked to familiarize myself with Cloudflare’s products.
The first interview went smoothly, although I learned that the role focused more on internal customer success rather than being directly tied to any of Cloudflare’s products. The second interview with the hiring manager raised some concerns. The conversation was heavily centered around change management, particularly in helping drive Agile adoption through what seemed like a beta-run scenario. There were hints of recent organizational changes and potential upcoming shifts, which left me a bit uncertain about the stability of the role. Another factor was the inconsistency of product knowledge—assignments seemed to vary by luck of the draw, and there was no real historical knowledge to rely on.
Overall, the process was professional but could benefit from more clarity about the role’s responsibilities and better alignment in the initial stages of the interview process.
The interview process is extensive (6weeks estimated) Recruiter- Hiring manager- Team- Culture fit- Executive Leadership- Pay Benefits - and possibly a technical round
