I applied online. I interviewed at Club Automation
Interview
I found an opening for the position posted on a career site and applied through their posting. The first interview was over the phone with a very friendly recruiter who helped review my past experience, my interest in their role, and go over how my experience would fit for the role they were interviewing for.
After the phone screen I was sent an email to complete a pre-screening test (a 30 minute wonderlic style of test). I googled around to get a feel for the test format. After taking the test my impression was that some of the example tests found in the wild are perhaps more intimidating than the actual test (its good to have a feel for the format of the test, however).
Within a few days of taking the test I was contacted by their recruiter who helped arrange an in person interview with the team. The interview was very thorough covering my technical knowledge, a whiteboard style session to review my communication style, my style working with various team dynamics, and other topics. What impressed me was the positive energy and friendliness I felt from the team. Meeting the team really helps answer the question "are these the people I want to work with every day".
Throughout the process I received constant communication keeping me appraised of where things were in the process. They were happy to help answer any questions as I had them. It was overall a very positive experience.
