      Product Operations Manager Interview

      Nov 12, 2016
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Clutter

      Interview

The first step was a phone screen from upper management. The phone screen included the normal tell me about you/your skills, an introduction to the company, and some questions regarding how you would approach some company specific situations. After a successful phone screen, you are asked to do a challenge. My challenge was a case study on a problem they have had in the past. The problem is left intentionally vague which makes it tough, but doable. The good thing is that they give you as much time as you need - I took about a week. The next step is your onsite interview. In my case it was a few one on ones with upper management. Everyone was very friendly and at this point I felt like they were really looking for the cultural aspects of the fit. The questions included company specific types (what do you know about us etc) to questions about how you handle situations. I was a little concerned when they scheduled the interviews for a few hours, but it honestly flew by and I liked getting to meet the people I would be working with. The last step is they circle back with two references of your choosing. If that goes well they give you an offer!

      Interview

Applied online, was contacted by the local Director of Operations. Had a great face to face interview with him which was mostly just going over core values and how you've demonstrated them in past positions. Next round was a phone interview with a VP at corporate, a couple questions about my background, and then a series of brain-teaser type questions.

      Interview

The interviewer called me AS HE WAS DRIVING SOMEWHERE. Highly disrespectful. He didn't bother taking any notes, and my resume was clearly not in front of him. I later heard him get off his car while interviewing me. I understand to be scrappy and work hard at a startup, but the least you can do is sit down when you interview potential candidates.

      Question 1

Tell me about yourself? What are the issues with our service? How will you solve them?
