      Manager Interview

      Sep 29, 2020
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Clutter

      Interview

I had a quick phone screen, then two very rushed, back-to-back Zoom interviews. The interviewers were time-constrained and the interviews were very rushed. Did not leave any room for me to ask questions.

Tell me about your experience. (Very basic)

      Difficult interview

      Application

The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Clutter (New York, NY)

      Interview

The position required a minimum of three years sales experience, and I had more than double that in Director Level sales roles alone. However, frequently during the four rounds of interviews, I was criticized for being too "junior". My resume and my experience say otherwise, so this was clearly an attack on the fact that I look young. One interviewer even found out when I graduated high school, and commented on that. As part of the interview processI was asked to complete a case study, and assured it was only to assess my thought process. When I came in for an in-person interview I found out that the scenario they gave me was a real one that one of the managers was having issues resolving. Basically requiring me to do free consulting work. The process consists of a phone interview with a Recruiter. Phone interview with a VP. Case study. And then in-person interviews with VP, Director, and two Sales Managers. At the end of my final interview (3 hours long!) I was told that I was a top candidate and they'd be excited to welcome me onboard. They explained they had only two interviews left, and would let me know in a day or two. Approximately 20 minutes after leaving I was told by email they were going a different direction. Very unprofessional.

      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Clutter

      Interview

Had phone interview with hiring manager and he went straight in to behavioral questions, and left absolutely no time to talk more about the company, nor allow me to ask any questions. Very unprofessionally handled phone interview. As follow up, he asked me to complete a case study, which very much felt like a real situation that could be facing the company, but I couldn’t be certain because no time was afforded to me to ask questions during the phone interview. The case study felt like free consulting work. Very unprofessional and unethical.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Complete a case study surrounding a “hypothetical” accounting scenario, but it felt like a real issue facing the company.
