Interview
Applied online, had a phone interview and was told that I would be receiving a case study, and then a follow up interview with management. Expressed how entry level the role is, and that they don’t require experience. Then received the dear John letter from the recruiter, and added the enjoyed our conversation tagline with the “we have other roles”.
So when I called the bluff and said yes I’m interested, I was told I need to reapply from the beginning. Then I received an automated rejection letter.
More transparency is needed when giving feedback, and change the initial rejection to automation if the recruiter is not there to discuss options they brought up for the company they recruit for (I could understand if recruiting was done by a third party).
Add the fact the company’s employee reviews are on a downward Slope with things like Glassdoor and indeed, a culture update may be needed if the turnover is really that high.

Interview
Interview was smooth, pretty basic questions. Just want to know your background mainly and had a couple “what would you do in this scenario” questions. I was interviewed twice by two different people and they were both really nice.

Question 1
What was a mistake you made in a previous job and how did you resolve it?

Interview
I should've listened to the interview reviews on here because this was without a doubt the worst interviewing process I've ever had.
The first phone screen was fine, with the VP of Talent Acquisition (hiring manager), just a couple general questions about my search and background. Then I was moved to the next round to have a phone conversation with the VP of Customer Experience, since my recruiting background is primarily in customer service/sales and the hiring manager figured it would be beneficial for me to speak with him.
We were scheduled to speak on a Monday and I just never received a call. I reached out to the hiring manager to ask what happened, no explanation was provided and the call was rescheduled for Thursday.
The VP of CX called me on Thursday and gave a brief apology, again no explanation. It made me feel like they had already made their mind up or hired someone else but didn't want to cancel the call (because of past bad Glassdoor reviews).
The questioning style was very awkward and even condescending at times... He asked me to tell him what "the good the bad the ugly" was of their Glassdoor profile (uh, you can look it up yourself since you guys have horrible interview ratings?), what my GPA was and why it wasn't higher, and then in the middle of questioning wanted to just go into a roleplay with minimal details about the situation.
I work for a global company that interviews on a BBI/STAR model (pretty tough interviewing model) and I felt very thrown off. If you want to ask for someone's top performance/success, ask them for an example of when they've been a leader or been recognized by their organization - not just their college GPA from years ago?
The most frustrating part for me was that I did extensive research into this leader, had very targeted questions for him about his background and past employers, and I just felt like he was talking down to me in his questions/acting condescending with the GPA question.
I was almost relieved in a weird way when I got the email because I couldn't imagine working with this leader and having him speak to candidates in the same way he spoke to me (or just not show up to interviews at all with no explanation).
I highly encourage people to not interview here. I don't think they will survive as a company with their practices, especially with other competition already established in this market.
