      Sales Specialist Interview

      Interview

I personally think the folks that I interviewed for are not experienced sales people nor do they know what they are doing. I had an interview with the recruiter and had a take home case study assignment which then I made to the next final three interview rounds. I think they should have not made me waste my time going through the three interviews if one person didn't like me because it was a one a waste of my time and two just stupid. When I asked questions to the second person that I interviewed for she gave me the worst attitude as if I was bothering her with non sense. I asked her how did she stumble upon Clutter and what made her want to pursue a leadership role since I wanted to get an understanding of how she is as a person and a potential manager. Her answer was "I like sales. I only want to make money and that's it". In my mind I think that's a horrible answer especially if you're managing a team. And when it comes to interviews it's suppose to be a two way interview to make sure the company is also the right fit for you as well. The first and final interview was fine, but I did feel like the two leads were unexperienced and just asked the most basic questions instead of diving deep into my experiences and goals. When the interviews were doneI reached out to the recruiter to see if I could have their email to to send thank you emails since that was not provided on the invite and the recruiter said no...okay... lol. Long story short I did not get the job and was rejected by a generic email. They could have send it from a real person since they made me do a take home assignment plus go through all the interview rounds!! I would not recommended this company due to my negative experience and the assignment was a waste of time as well.

      Application

      Interview

I applied online-- but whoever they have managing their Indeed posts is being manipulative. The position was posted as being in Sherman Oaks, and the more searching you do, you'll see that there are multiple posts for the same position all over Los Angeles-- some posts say Valley Village, Calabasas, Encino, Studio City Burbank, etc. So I thought either they had several small offices or it would be a remote sales position. Per their request I submitted an online video interview with a "sales pitch" and after a few days I received an email inviting me to an in-person interview, come to find out, the position was actually working out of "6090 Center Dr, 90045". I have no idea why there are so many job posts that say the position is out working out so many different areas of the city, but none of them are near that address. The commission isn't more than an est. $15k a year on top of the $20/hr salary, which is way too low to deal with a long commute or relocate to that area of the city. After confirming with the recruiter that there was only one LA office, I declined the interview. The spam-like nature of the job posts is a red flag. The recruiter also repeatedly described that address as "West LA", which is a little moronic, since the address is south of the Fox Hills. It's even further south than South LA if you look at a map. Bummer because the company has inbound leads, so making sales should be a piece of cake. If you can deal with the commute or already live near Inglewood, could be a sweet gig.

No questions. They asked me to submit a video recording of myself pitching Uber/Lyft over traditional taxi services.
