My interview began with friendly email followed by a phone conversation with the hiring manager. We seemed to hit it off and I felt things went well. I attempted to follow up twice over the course of about 4 weeks and finally received a canned HR auto-response letting me know that the position had been filled. It's okay to say no. Candidates should have thick skin. Don't be afraid to communicate with us.
