I was working for Pepsi as a Delivery Supervisor, and I was unhappy with several aspects of the job so I sought out the same position at Coke. I searched their global website and didn't find any local jobs so I reached out to a former coworker who was already working at Coke as a Delivery Supervisor. He directed me to the correct website where I was able to apply for the Supervisor, Distribution position. 3 weeks later, my contact asked me if I had actually applied since the manager couldn't find my application. It took them another week and they finally found it and I had my telephone screening which went very well. On the spot, they scheduled my local in-person interview for the next day.
The interview was a very standard behavioral interview. Somehow, nothing I said impressed the 2 interviewers. I'm not sure why. Maybe they had someone else in mind or maybe I said something early on that turned them off to me? They mad it clear that this position was an extra supervisor and was not essential so they will bide their time. I specifically was told not to expect a call for at least 2 weeks, but I was promised a phone call "either way."
3 weeks later, I got the standard "We have decided to pursue other candidate(s)" email, and my contact hasn't given me any feedback.
