I met with their Design Director. The interview was very conversational and enjoyable, where they asked me to walk them through my projects and research methods. Later I met with their Head of Recruiting, who walked me through the company's features and vision. I was asked to present 45 minutes of content, including two projects, and create a user research plan as a take-home exercise. I felt that the presentation went well, and the team was engaged and friendly. I believed that I did well; however, I got a decline thanking for the "Chat" (this was downsizing my time commitment) and saying that the team is looking for a "slightly different experience." I invested a lot of my time preparing, and this response was unsatisfactory.
