I applied through college or university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Cognizant (New Delhi) in Nov 2020
Interview
I had both of my technical and HR rounds conducted in one session only. In the technical round, I was asked questions related to the programming language that I knew (which is Java), followed by 2 to 3 basic coding problems and then about 4 to 5 questions related to my project (which was based on Natural Language Processing).
To ace the technical round, you are expected to have complete knowledge of all the basic concepts related to core subjects and also you should be able to frame logic and convert that logic into code (problem solving abilities), which you can master only by practising numerous coding challenges.
Followed by this technical round, I was allowed to proceed further for HR interview wherein I was asked about the domain which I would be most comfortable working in (for me it was Android Development), and a few questions regarding relocation and a justification of whether you are going to be an asset to their company or not.
I cleared both of these, and after about a month or so I got my offer letter and was directed further to attend the internship programme.
Hope this overview helps you, and hope you find the job you are looking for. All the best!
