I went through three rounds of interviews with Devbridge/Cognizant for an HR Business Partner role in Vilnius. The initial conversation with the recruiter from the UK was professional and well-organised. However, the experience with later stages left me disappointed. In the third round, the head of engineering appeared distracted, doing something else on his computer throughout the interview. A thoughtful question I asked was met with a dismissive remark by the HR BP in Kaunas, and the interview ended abruptly, citing they had “tasks to finish.” I still followed up with a thank-you email and even included a few ideas, but never received a reply, despite the email being read. After investing time and energy into the process, I received no closure—not even a basic follow-up. This kind of treatment felt disrespectful and fell far below the standards one would expect from a company that promotes integrity and excellence in its values. I’m sharing this in hopes that the company reflects on how they engage with candidates, and to inform other people who will apply for jobs in this company.
