      Business Analyst Interview

      Mar 12, 2013
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Bellevue, WA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Colibrium (Bellevue, WA) in Jan 2013

      Interview

First I want to start by saying that I am not bitter because I was not offered a job. I am bitter because of the experience they put me through. Worst candidate experience EVER. STAY AWAY. It all started with a phone screen through HR. Next, I completed some long, exhausting IQ test online that took about an hour. Next I completed three phone interviews because the team is in a different location and after those phone interviews was recommended for hire by all of the individuals I had interviewed with. Next I did an in person interview at the Bellevue office with a VP and he also said he was going to recommend me for hire. I was told by the hiring manager that I would be working with him and his team. There was a period of two weeks about a month in to the process where I had no update on what was going on, no phone contact and no response to e-mails. After this period of silence, I was notified by HR that the hiring manager quit and I had to start another, completely different interview process from the beginning which included several one on one interviews as well as a 45 minute presentation, the creation of a technical spec, and a workflow diagram in front of one of the Chief Officers and some of the other employees. After waiting another week and a half, I was told I was a perfect culture fit but that they would not be pursuing me.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

They make you update a technical specification document using meeting notes from a client, create a work-flow diagram based upon creating a healthcare quote in the system you just spec'd out and then make you present on it for 45 minutes.

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Colibrium

      Interview

Very lengthy. Full life cycle requirements setup with process flows and other various tools. Had 2 hours to complete everything and then had to present. Funny enough; you won't be doing any of that in the job, expect to be a tester.

      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Colibrium (Atlanta, GA) in Jan 2016

      Interview

The interview involved a phone screen then an in-person (scenario and conversation). The two or three people interviewing me were nice in person... but everyone else in the office seemed *miserable.* You can tell a lot about a company by how the interview process goes (organized or thrown together) and what the people you are not interviewing with do/say. The offer was lower than what I was currently making and the benefits were not up to industry standard, so I chose to turn it down.

      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Colibrium (Atlanta, GA)

      Interview

I applied for the job, received an e-mail from the recruiter to set up a phone call. We had a phone call a few days later that lasted about 30 minutes. I then took a personality type test and then came in for an in person interview. That last about 3 hours and I met with 4-5 people.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

I had to put together a presentation and do a mock presentation to a fictional client. It was intimidating but also kind of fun. I think it is a good way to interview for a consulting/ BA position.
