A very bad experience in general and there is a lack of quality in everything (from getting your call in to interviewers paying attention to you during the call)
Firstly there is no concern towards the candidate and their time. All you get is one slot of the time and date, no options to choose so it’s your job to start noting your diary around because of their rigidness and inflexibility. In addition to all this they don’t even send you a calendar invite link. They send an email with a link to join and all you get is a start time - no advise on how long will be the interview or anything else.
The initial call with the potential manager was good and we seem to have connected but it was over 1h 30mins. No mention of the salary or follow up on that.
Getting the second call in was a nightmare and again as the first time no invite or advise on the length of the interview.
The second interview was with 2 people who didn’t seem to be interested; it felt that that they were too busy dealing with their emails and disregarding my answers as I was repeating things quite a lot. Not sure how an ex recruiter ended up being a people manager because even the questions were irrelevant to people development and best HR practices. The salary was advised at the end of the interview and was half of what I had put in my application- you should not interview people if you can’t meet the salary or at least be transparent from beginning

Question 1
Reasons for applying , relevant experience, how you would deal with a complex issue
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Collabora in Jun 2022
Interview
Simple process: they evaluate my resume, ask for referrals . After that a small technical interview more focused on my resume and experience, then a final interview and the offer. Simple as any interview process should be.
I applied online. I interviewed at Collabora in Mar 2024
Interview
The interview began with a standard introduction and initial questions that seemed routine. However, as the interview progressed, I observed some concerning behaviors from the interviewer. When I answered their questions, the interviewer repeatedly dismissed my responses without providing any explanation or follow-up. This dismissive approach made it difficult for me to effectively showcase my skills and experience.
