Applied by the April 20th deadline. Got a call the last week of May for an interview. Interview was a conference call over the phone with the CEMML director and 3 other employees at the job location. Seemed to go pretty well. Pretty standard questions "Tell us about your GIS background?" "Why are you interested in this position?" "How would you rate your map design skills?" I was told that as I had made it so far in the hiring process that they would be checking references and I should let my current supervisor know to expect a phone call. Also, that they would be letting candidates know a decision in a week or 2. They never called my supervisor. They never called any of my references. 19 days went by and I called to see at what point of the hiring process they were at. I was told they were conducting the last interview the next day and would be letting everyone know their decision in another week. 30 days later I still had heard nothing and so I called again to check. Was told they offered the position to a different candidate last week. Kinda pissed that they strung me along for 2 months and had me show my hand to my current employer but never called.
