Interview
My interview with the SLiCE department of Colorado State University was the most transparent, and friendly interview process I have ever had. They are thorough, they will make sure you have the necessary qualification both minimum and preferred, and they care about Equal Opportunity. CSU as a whole may differ, but my experience of interviewing with a search committee, and going through the whole process up to accepting the role was second to no other job I have ever applied for.

Question 1
What would you be ready and excited to work on right away in this role? What is a place of growth you would need to work on for this role?
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Colorado State University (Fort Collins, CO)
Interview
CSU or working in higher ed tends to lend itself it some very bureaucractic highering practices. However I was scheduled first for a 30 minute phone interview which led to me being offered a "full day" finalist interview. This interview included a meeting with the dean of the department, my direct manager, and the students I was also going to supervise. In addition to these mini interviews I was asked to prepare and present a presentation to various stakeholders about a hot topic in education - was a little intensive but it worked out in the end.

Interview
Committees of full time staff people conduct phone interviews, then candidates are selected for a second round of on-campus interviews. The on campus interviews are a full day. I was given a campus tour, Gave a presentation, interviewed with the potential supervisor, interviewed with a panel of potential coworkers. After the interview, the selected candidate is given a verbal offer contingent on passing a background check. Once the background check is complete, the candidate is sent a formal offer letter. If the candidate accepts, he/she signs and returns the offer letter.
