After applying online it took about a month before I was offered a 40 minute Skype interview. The interview was with a committee of four people at once, but it was pretty casual and comfortable. Everyone was extremely nice and just asked me questions about my experience and why I wanted the job. Then about half a month later I was offered an on-campus interview. This was an all day interview that just felt like spending time with friends. The morning was mostly with the hiring committee, lunch was with graduate students, and the afternoon was personal interviews with faculty and instrument staff. The main problem was just timing and relocation logistics.
