Streamlined process starting with some basic questions (word limited) which are answered and sent in to the company along with one's CV. Success here accelerates to the aptitude tests consisting of a numeracy test and a checking test. I do not know the pass marks for these, but if these are met then a telephone interview follows. This is a good change from the majority of companies who opt for the impersonal and daunting video interview; the call was made at a time that suited me and the people running the team were extremely helpful in arranging it.
The interview in the assessment center was very well ran with only a slight delay at the start due to IT related issues. We were asked some introductory questions to break the ice more than anything and then moved onto the group task. This was a nice change to a typical group task as we weren't having to churn out figures or try to get in the minds of some bizarre charity, instead we had to explain what we would do in a difficult scenario. The only criticism of this is that the entire group was involved in one exercise and I noticed some people had trouble getting their points across. Following this we had a tour of the office - a modern open plan layout - and had brief introductions to various teams although I'm not sure if this was planned, but it reinforced the idea that this is an open and friendly place to work. After this was the 2:1 interview. In all honesty it felt more like a conversation about myself and what I do in my spare time; this was a welcome change from other places where you knew that everyone was asked identical questions.
