I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at CompUSA (Edison, NJ) in Aug 2009
Interview
Met with the Manager of the technical department, basic PC tech questions to start. Big surprise was a written test. Told them I did not have the time as the test would take about an hour, but asked if I could come back to take it, they were find with that. Went home and studied like crazy, and went back and took the test. Similar to the A+ certification test but shorter. I guess I did ok, as I got the job.
