      GOLD Associate Interview

      Feb 18, 2011
      Anonymous employee
      New York, NY
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Con Edison (New York, NY) in Dec 2010

      Interview

I was first contacted by email after applying through my school job postings. My first interview consisted of a 1:1 interview with a person who graduated from my school. She was really nice and everything went smoothly. The interview was supposed to last an hour but it only lasted about 30 minutes. It was a simple interview where i was asked about my skills, no curveballs. I was then contacted by phone by an HR representative and told that I moved on to the next interview. The second interview was with two engineers. This was a much tougher interview and it did last an hour. I was asked technical questions (basic Circuits 2). Also, the entire interview was mostly behavioral , which Con Edison really likes. After the interview, I was asked to answer "Why I would like to work for Con Ed and what do I bring to the table?"

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Con Edison (New York, NY)

      Interview

Skipped over the phone interview. They just called me to invite me to come in person. Interview was pretty straight forward, asked questions from a packet they had to fill out. It was two separate interviews asking my questions at the same time. They told me they'd reach out within 2-3 weeks to let me know if I got to the second round or not. It has been over 2 months and haven't heard anything. I even emailed the lady from HR who set up my interview and got no response. If you are going to promise feedback to candidates you should follow through. I am assuming I didn't get it, but very unprofessional.

      Interview

apparently they have no clue how to see a good candidate. They give preference to an outsider over a coop. They hire ppl that do not deserve and they do not hire ppl that deserve. Really clueless
