I applied online. I interviewed at Con Edison (New York, NY) in Sep 2024
Interview
HR sent an email with interview date ( i didn't select the date and time). next round, 2 Team members (Hiring / Ops) took my interview for about 40 minutes. They asked questions like, who is the consumer of the Steam? who is the regulator of con edison? where are steams being used? .. i was tempted to ask am i doing to perform a specialist task or will you provide some technical assessment test. that's it... no follow up emails or response.. i know i didn't clear , nor am i expecting it to clear. but i couldn't digest the type of assessment.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
what is steam engine, who is the consumer of it, where its being used most, who is the regulator..
It was virtual and quick and straightforward, The interviewer was patient and gave me time to answer all the questions, although at the end he tried to trip me up with certain questions
During the interview process with a two-member team, the lead interviewer mainly focused on policies and technology-related questions, while the second interviewer inquired about my assertiveness. Felt very comfortable with the interview and they also recorded all the answers to review later on.
