I applied online. I interviewed at Confiz (Lahore)
Interview
I live in overseas and HR used to call me in middle of night. They dont have courtesy to check the time of the place where the candidate live. The replied i got from HR lady was that she was still in office and for her its their working hours. Then she scheduled an interview and incorrectly calculated the time and booked me for wrong time window. I waited for 30 minutes on call and no one joined the interview. HR didnt pick up the phone and when she did after an hour then she asked me to join the meeting again without considering that she has made a blunder and should reschedule it as per my availability. Later I was interviewed for an architect position. I have 18 years of experience across different multi-national companies and geographies. The interviewer was someone who has barely 8-10 years of experience and most of it was in confiz. At the very start of interview, he asked me to write a program. I wasn't prepared for it as i didnt have IDE installed on my machine. so i wrote a pseudo-code on Notes. He tried hard to find errors in it and after a point I realised he want to prove me wrong. Then he asked me what is OOP, Objects, Stored Procedures, Design Patterns etc. He then started asking specific questions about Java and Oracle versions he was working on and issues with those versions. No question was asked related to Cloud, Big Data, ML, DevOps. If someone asks an architect the basic concepts instead of architecture methodology used to solve complex problems with the use of latest trends of technology then you can get fairly good idea about where company stands in terms of innovation and technology. I guess the interviewer has already decided the outcome before the interview.
