long and like 4-6 weeks between interviews. I only missed 3 questions out of probably 30-40 of them. I felt like I did good. But again, I'm not an attractive woman
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I remember every question asked:
Tell me about your resume, who you are, what you want and where you want to end up?
What classifies a class Delta airport?
What are the dimensions of a class Delta airport
WX & VIS requirements for class delta airspace/airport
Do you need a radio to enter class D airspace
What altitude do you fly if you’re in the pattern at a delta airport in a piston aircraft
What is the difference between TAT and SAT?
What speed does SAT/TAT become relative?
You walk out to the airplane and its covered in snow, what do you do?
How would you go about getting the plane de-iced?
Are there any timing requirements for deicing?
What does basic operating weight mean?
What does an MEL tell us?
When you’re doing preflight, what can you use to determine weather along your route?
What about the weather in flight?
How do you define the intensity of icing? (trace, light, moderate severe)
How do you know the different intensity in flight?
What is a FICON report?
What are the FICON codes and meaning?
How are the FICON conditions measured
How far down the runway are the touchdown markers, how are they identified
What color are the Centerline lights and when do they change / what color do they change to?
Asked me to brief the KICT RNAV Y14, circle RWY 1R, we are doing the GABYE transition.
- I asked him what approach category we are, and he counter asked “what do we measure category speeds off of and I said “approach speeds” and then he said very good, we are a category D aircraft
- He asked me where we could start the circle to RWY 1R and I said 3.6nm or 3.7nm and I could look it up if he wanted. He said you answered correctly but if you want to change your 3.6nm answer you can. But I wouldn’t.
- He asked me what entry we would use to enter the hold at USOMY
- What is our max holding speed at USOMY
Asked me to not necessarily brief the Terpz eight departure, flask transition taking off runway 15R out of KBWI, but to tell him some important things about it and if there was things we need to be aware of
- I told him we have some altitude and speed restrictions he asked what they were:
1. Cross BOBYJ at or above 4000, at or below 230k, cross Flaco at or below 9000, then cross Terpz at or above 11,000 then on transition. We will maintain 17,000 and expect our final 10 minutes after departure
- He asked on the departure route page why the WARYN waypoint has a circle around it
- Asked what a fly over waypoint means.
- He said If our take off min is 780’ / nm to 644. How do we calculate that? He gave me an IAS of 140 kts to use for the calculation
- He had me do that formula to see what we needed to climb
- He went to the transition route page and asked:
1. What does RADAR required mean on the plate
2. What does RNAV 1- DME/DME?IRU or GPS mean on the plate
3. If we couldn’t meet the climb gradient, what would we do?
